How Life Hacking Can Amazingly and Radically Change Your Life and Business
Applying the right strategies and tactics to become more efficient, effective, precise, productive, and self-aware
Q. What is a life hack and what is the history of the concept?
A. A life hack (or life hacking) is any trick, shortcut, skill, tool, technique, strategy, or novelty method that increases EEPPASA (efficiency, effectiveness, precision, productivity, accuracy, and self-awareness) in all walks of life.
The term was originally used not by cyber-criminals (as it is sometimes used today) but by computer experts who suffered from information overload. It was also used by those with a playful curiosity in the ways they can accelerate their workflow in ways other than programming. The terms hack, hacking, and hacker have a long history of ambiguity in the computing and geek communities, particularly the free and open-source software crowds. Today it is a term commonly used in Intentional living, prepper, survivalist, simple living, and minimalist living communities and culture.
In the modern vernacular the phrase “to hack something is more often used to describe an inelegant but effective solution to a specific computing problem, or for that matter, any other type of problem
The original definition of the term “hack” is “to cut with rough or heavy blows.” In the tech world these included quick-and-dirty shell scripts and other forms of command-line utilities that filtered, merged, and processed data streams like e-mail and RSS feeds.
The ability of the Life Hacker to use various tips, techniques, and strategies to bypass obstacles or avoid constraints using technology is a skill that earlier generations may have dreamt about but were never able to put into action. Millennial Life Hackers often have unique skills that can produce efficient, effective results never imagined before and supported by recent research in psychology and the cognitive sciences.
If applied game theorists use them effectively they can create greater freedom for themselves, and also make a major, and positive difference in the world.
One of the defining principles of my work in HAGT (Harrison’s Applied Game Theory) is Actualized intention – a conscious, spiritually driven strategic principle that states;
“The moment I am ready, willing and able to act on my intention, all manner of unforeseen events, and circumstances – ‘an invisible hand’ – comes into play, spontaneously, without discipline or willpower to bring to the fore an extraordinary process of love compassion, empathy, in the service of bringing one’s vision to fruition.”
In conclusion, I want you to know in no uncertain terms, that ignoring applied game theory, or living in the illusion that you can important life-changing decisions without applying these ideas is a huge mistake in judgment.
Without gamer-thinking, one is likely to be confronted with higher levels of powerlessness in a world increasingly defined by smart devices, thousands of apps, and competition.
